Spotlight hosts Car-Baret and drive-in movie

Spotlight showed again that we can enjoy the theatre community with precautions for the ongoing pandemic. With the help of Mark Bowman and Total Sound Productions, the theatre hosted a “Car-Baret” live performance and drive-in movie event in the parking lot Aug. 1.

The drive-in movie comprised the second public showing of The Wolves, the final show of SYT’s 2019-2020 season.

The coronavirus outbreak and the temporary theatre closures that followed occurred in the middle of rehearsals for The Wolves, originally scheduled for March performances. Spotlight obtained permission to produce a video of the award-winning soccer drama, directed by Chanel Bragg and shot this summer in the realistic setting of the Arizona Sports Complex.
