Register for SYT PRIDE – a collaborative theater program for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-21!

  • Meet each Sunday from 10AM – Noon at the Spotlight Studio

  • 10820 N 43rd Ave., Suite 9  •  Glendale, AZ 85304

  • Additional rehearsals on Wednesdays, June 3, 10 , 17, 2026, from 6 – 8PM

  • Show performances on Friday, June 19; Saturday, June 20; and Sunday, June 21

  • Tuition – FREE!

What is SYT Pride? 

SYT Pride offers a safe place for LGBTQ+ youth in the Phoenix area to be free to explore their experiences, collaborate with like-minded youth, and express themselves by creating original and transformative pieces of theater.

SYT Pride aims to enable youth who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community an opportunity to tell their stories through theater and to increase LGBTQ+ visibility and equity through collaboration, education, and performance.

Participants will brainstorm together, allowing each individual to tell a story that is meaningful to them and their queer identity. As a collective ensemble, the group will then streamline and connect these stories into one cohesive theatrical production, which will be performed for the community.

Who Can Participate?

  • LGBTQIA+ youth and allies
  • Ages 13–21
  • No prior theater experience required – just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate

We are Seeking:

All creatives are encouraged to apply, including:

  • Playwrights
  • Songwriters
  • Actors
  • Singers
  • Dancers
  • Designers (sets, costumes, lighting, sound, media)

Whether you’re an experienced artist or trying something new, there is a place for you in SYT Pride.
