2019-2020 Season
Spotlight’s 2019-2020 Season began with the very familiar, and closed with the most unusual.
To our surprise, the popular Disney’s Frozen JR. turned out to be the last show of the season on our stage, in February. We canceled the planned season closer, Charlotte’s Web, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The cast of The Wolves , however, continued rehearsals online, and finally had a performance streamed online in the summer, as well as an encore in the Spotlight parking lot as a drive-in movie.
Despite the shortened season, Spotlight performers and artists won 31 National Youth Arts Awards from among 59 nominations for the 2018-2019 season, as well as 15 “Zonis” from among 45 nominations for ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence.
